From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome. It’s a happy place, where everyone genuinely enjoys being there and working towards the goal of teaching your child how to swim while having fun.
I was so pleased when I walked into the building and realized there were no “Men’s” or “Women’s” changing rooms. So great, especially when you’re an opposite sex parent. There are individual changing room stalls, that are big enough for you and your child together, or you can let your kids go in there by themselves. It’s much faster too, than dragging kids in and out of locker rooms. During our winter session, I even had the boys wear their trunks under sweatpants, so they could quickly and easily be ready. And for evening classes, I LOVE having them just change into their pajamas after class. Talk about easy.
The swim instructors know that your kids want to learn with someone they enjoy being around, so they make it their mission to be as warm and open as possible, and get them giggling and excited to learn how to swim.
We’ve done swim lessons at other places. And I always had to drag my kids there kicking and whining. Not at Foss! They are SO excited to go every time, and were so sad when our first session was over. They were SO pleased to find out we got to do it again! They want to go back, and they want to learn! That is key.
They specialize in teaching children (and adults!) how to swim. It’s just what they do. And they do it well. No distractions, just swimming!
Class sizes are super small, so your child gets a lot of individualized attention, which is a great way to ensure they will increase their swim skills.
